Doves Of Hope

For 25 years, the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation’s paper doves have carried messages of hope and remembrance. Each year, supporters receive a Dove they can personalize—dedicating it to someone affected by cancer, whether in honour or in memory—and return it with a donation. These Doves are then displayed throughout the hospital, forming a powerful, collective symbol of love, support, and community.

Over the years, we noticed something meaningful: many of the Doves came back not only with messages, but transformed—painted, decorated, and uniquely expressive. We saw an opportunity in that instinct to create.

To mark this milestone, we invited artists whose lives have been touched by cancer to build on that idea—becoming the voices of those who couldn’t fully express their own journeys, and transforming each Dove into a powerful expression of shared emotion, resilience, and healing.
